Telangana Stamp Duty and Registration Charges 2026: Exact Cost on a ₹50 Lakh Flat and 200 Sq Yd Plot Hyderabad | Updated October 17, 2026 Buying a ₹50 lakh flat in Hyderabad does not mean you need only ₹50 lakh. Before the property can be legally registered in your name, you also need to budget for stamp duty, transfer duty and the registration fee. For a normal sale deed in Hyderabad and other Telangana urban areas, the current government-charge structure is: Stamp duty: 5.5% Transfer duty: 1.5% Registration fee: 0.5% Total: 7.5% That means a property with a chargeable value of ₹50 lakh can require approximately ₹3.75 lakh in these three statutory registration charges alone . This is where many buyers get confused. A large number of property websites still quote: 4% stamp duty + 1.5% transfer duty + 0.5% registration fee = 6%. That is not the current sale-deed stamp-duty rate reflected in Telangana's post-July-2021 rate revision. The Telangana Registration & Stamps Department...

Mumbai Redevelopment Projects 2026: Should You Buy a Flat? Risks, New Rules and Due-Diligence Checklist Mumbai | October 10, 2026 Mumbai’s next generation of housing is increasingly being built not on vacant land, but on the footprints of buildings that already exist. Redevelopment projects now account for about 15% of Mumbai’s residential sales , according to the latest JLL–NAREDCO research, up sharply from roughly 6% during 2016–2021. More than 1,000 redevelopment projects have been launched since 2020 , representing around 13% of the city’s residential supply. That alone makes redevelopment too large for homebuyers to treat as a niche segment. There is also an important new development. Maharashtra has tightened its framework for cooperative housing society redevelopment. Revised guidelines require redevelopment construction to normally be completed within two years from the first foundation or plinth certificate , with an extension up to three years permitted only in exceptio...

Diwali 2026 Property Offers Hyderabad: Flat & Plot Buying Checklist, Dhanteras Date and RERA Checks

Buying a Flat or Plot This Diwali 2026 in Hyderabad: Offers, Dates and 10 Checks Before You Pay Hyderabad | October 6, 2026 Diwali is still about a month away, but Hyderabad's festive property-selling season has effectively begun. Over the coming weeks, homebuyers can expect to see apartment launches, plot campaigns, booking discounts, payment plans, free upgrades and limited-period offers built around Dhanteras and Diwali. For families who were already planning to buy a home, the festive season can be a useful time to compare projects and negotiate. But it can also create exactly the wrong mindset for a property purchase. A ₹5,000 appliance bought during a festival sale can be returned or replaced. A ₹75 lakh apartment or ₹40 lakh plot cannot be treated the same way. The right approach this Diwali is therefore not: “What is the biggest festive discount?” It is: “Is this legally safe, fairly priced and suitable for us even after the Diwali banner disappears?” That distinction mat...

Stamp Duty and Registration Charges in Hyderabad 2026: Exact Cost on a ₹50 Lakh Flat + 200 Sq Yd Plot Examples Hyderabad | October 6, 2026 Buying a ₹50 lakh apartment in Hyderabad does not mean your total acquisition budget stops at ₹50 lakh. For a normal sale deed in Hyderabad and other Telangana municipal or corporation areas, the current government charges add up to 7.5% of the chargeable property value . That means if ₹50 lakh is the value on which your registration is calculated, the stamp duty, transfer duty and registration fee together work out to: ₹3,75,000. Your effective property outlay therefore becomes at least ₹53.75 lakh before considering other costs such as legal fees, loan expenses, TDS where applicable, interiors or GST on an under-construction property where applicable. This is especially important in 2026 because Telangana revised official property market values across the state from June 5, 2026 . The government did not raise the sale-deed registration perc...
